Directive Council meeting in the Ministry of Information, Press and Radio

The directors of the Ministry of Information, Press and Radio, led by Eugenio Nze Obiang, met in a directive council meeting on May 29, to take on different issues related to the birthday celebration of the President of the Republic, H.E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, which will take place on June 5. At the same meeting, they discussed other subjects such as the 12th Conference of the countries of the Committee of Intelligence and Security Services of Africa (CISSA), which will be held in the city of Sipopo, from June 4 to 10.

The meeting room of the National Radio of Equatorial Guinea was the scenario of this new meeting, which was attended by all the Directors General, technicians and other heads of different departments.

The meeting began with the reading by the Secretary General of the department, Manuel Ndong Bibang, of the program established by the Presidency of the Government, related to the celebration of the 73rd birthday of the President of the Republic and Head of Government, H.E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo. A document that includes numerous activities to celebrate this occasion in different cities of the national territory.

As it relates to the Ministry of Information, Press and Radio, the participants in the Council meeting analyzed the activities that are assigned to them, according to the program established for this anniversary, which will be celebrated from June 1 to 5. Some activities that, according to the head of the department, include all the heads of each section.

After the deliberations, the Minister Nze Obiang, who was assisted by the Secretary of State of the Ministry, Miguel Antonio Obiang Avoro, stressed the need for establishing a specific work program for the live and deferred broadcast of all the activities, which are carried out during these festive days, through the State communication media; television, radio, Internet and written press.

The Minister organized various working groups, formed by directors and department heads, to study the document and to also establish a work flow that includes all the national communication media as well as the international media residing in the country.

At this same meeting, the issue concerning the inauguration of the following public works was studied: the Ministry of Public Works and Infrastructures, The General State Treasury, the National Park of Malabo, the Senate, the Dome, the Police station of the Colasesga district, as well as the government and city delegations of the urban districts 2, 3, 4 and 5 of this capital.

Another of the points dealt with was the holding of the 12th Conference of the countries of the Committee of Intelligence and Security Services of Africa (CISSA), which will be held in the city of Sipopo from June 4 to 10. In the meeting, the possibility was discussed of the possibility of broadcasting live the work that is being carried out in the summit.

The Minister informed those present that after June 5, an extraordinary directive council meeting will be held, to evaluate the work carried out during the birthday celebration of the Head of State.
