Head of State holds audience with BDEAC President

H. E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo has held a meeting with the director of the Central African States Development Bank (BDEAC), Fortunato Ofa Mbo Nchama. This banking institution finances state and business projects within the CEMAC.

The Equatoguinean Fortunato Ofa Mbo Nchama has been the current president of this institution since 17th January 2017, during the Summit for Heads of State and Governments of the Central African Economic and Monetary Community, and took over on 19th March this year. He has established his residence in Congo Brazzaville.

On Sunday 6th August he attended an audience with the Head of State in the provincial capital of Wele Nzas. In addition, the meeting was attended by the Adviser to the Presidency of the Republic in financial matters, Lucas Abaga Nchama, together with a senior official from this institution.

The aim of the meeting was to speak about current aspects in the economic evolution of the subregion, in which Ofa Mbo Nchama declared that he had received the best advice from H. E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, directed towards improving his role as head of the financial institution.

Furthermore, he revealed that the BDEAC is open to financing public and private projects in our country, although it depends on the capacity of the entrepreneurs. He also added that since he took up the post, various experts had met in Malabo to look at the projects to be singled out for financing in our country.
