The senior Ugandan delegation, which had been visiting the Republic of Equatorial Guinea, left on the morning of Monday 28th August, and was seen off at the presidential terminal of the Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo International Airport in Mongomeyen by the President of the Republic.
The President of Uganda, H. E. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni shook hands with members of the court of honour, led by the Prime Minister, Charged with Administrative Coordination, Francisco Pascual Obama Asue, and other local authorities.
This visit by the Ugandan leader to our country has served to consolidate the ties of friendship and cooperation linking Equatorial Guinea with this African country, and for that reason H. E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo and his counterpart were satisfied with the outcome.
Continuing with the official programme of work, the presidential couple went to Bile-Osi for the commemoration of St. Augustine, the patron of the enclave, where the inhabitants gave a cordial welcome to the Head of State and the First Lady of the Nation.
The Eucharistic service was said by the Bishop of the Diocese of Mongomo, Monsignor Juan Domingo Beka, and during the service various children received first communion.
With the final episcopal blessing, the service came to an end, and the presidential couple said farewell on the threshold of the church.
