Trial of Teodoro Nguema Obiang Mangue continues

On Wednesday 28th June, the sessions of the Paris Criminal Court focussed on dealing with obtaining evidence in relation to the supposed commission paid to the company Somagui on 2004.

From the point of view of the administrators of justice making up the defence council, the matters covered show that the matter should not be looked at in the French Republic, and regarding the rumours regarding the nationality of the Vice-President of the Republic, the defence lawyer declared that Teodoro Nguema Obiang Mangue is Equatoguinean and does not have French nationality.

The accredited Equatorial Guinea Ambassador in Paris, Miguel Oyono Ndong Mifumu, who has followed closely the testimonies from the prosecution and describes them as simple and not valid before the court, together with the testimony from Simon Mann against Mr. Bourdon, the lawyer for Transparency International and Sherpa as the prosecution, believes it essential that the Malabo Government takes legal action before national and international justice.
