The Economic Community of Central African States (CEEAC) and CORAF met to evaluate the achievements under their cooperation agreement on research, signed in July 2008, the balance of which has been positive.
In order to strengthen this cooperation, CORAF and CEEAC proposed a new working plan for the four-year period of 2019-2023.
The plan has four main pillars: the development of capacities, the carrying out of a study to establish the bases for strategic regional agriculture, the setting up of a directory for technologies in Central Africa, and the organisation of an annual fair for agricultural technology and innovation in the region.
In order to guarantee CORAF sustainability, the Executive Director of CORAF requested a budget and technical support from CEEAC, while proposing to integrate CORAF within the Support Project for the Promotion of Youth Entrepreneurship in Central Africa.
