The head of the Ministry for Mines and Hydrocarbons and President of the Extraction Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI), Gabriel Mbega Obiang Lima, led the 4th Meeting of the EITI National Commission, assisted by the vice-president of the body. The meeting was attended by representatives from Parliament, the National University of Equatorial Guinea (UNGE), and companies such as Sonagas, Noble Energy, Hess, and Marathon.
The meeting took place at the Palace of the Government in the administrative city of Djibloho.
The aim of the meeting was to cover the approval of the minutes from the latest meeting of the national commission; the approval of the resolutions to create the technical sub-commissions (ST); the report by the sub-commissions for information and training (SIF) and technical sub-commissions (ST); the review and approval of the work plan for the national commission; the presentation of the draft request for the amount, and any other business.
Finally, the Minister for Mines and the President of the EITI closed the meeting, in the name of the President of the Republic. H. E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo.
