“A Fondo” interviews ministers of the Presidency, Charged with Missions and Education

The ministers for Education and Science, JesA�s Engonga Ndong, and the Presidency of the Republic, Charged with Missions, Alejandro Evuna Owono Asangono, visited the “A Fondo” television programme, on which they are evaluating the State Tour made by the President of the Republic, H. E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo.

Annobon is the last stage of the tour, which is coming to an end on 31st March on the island. There, its inhabitants await the Head of State with great anticipation, and will welcome him with a huge reception.

“It has been an unprecedented tour, because the degree of acceptance and the degree of satisfaction in the population has been huge”, said the Minister for the Presidency of the Republic, Charged with Missions, Alejandro Evuna Owono Asangono, who also underlined that the President of the Republic wanted to take the development of the country to the furthest reaches of its territory. In addition, he mentioned the presidential intention to take the services enjoyed by the cities – electricity, water, hospitals, schools, etc. – to the new urban districts.

For his part, JesA�s Engonga Ndong, Minister for Education and Science, with respect to the tour, said that “the response from the population is pure excitement”, and described the impact of the tour as “spectacular, first for the message he delivered, and spectacular for the acceptance”.

Evuna Owono added that the tour had reached very remote places, where it was surprising to find places which had already become cities, with their new constructions in an advanced state, and inhabitants extremely satisfied to receive H. E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo.

The Minister for Education also stated the intention of the President to promote a change in mentality in the population of these people’s councils, which have now been raised to the category of urban district.
