In order to answer questions regarding his role as Prime Minister of the Government, Francisco Pascual Obama Asue was interviewed on 30th January by the TVGE programme A Fondo, directed by Virgilio Seriche Riloha.
The starting point for the questions put to the guest on the programme with the greatest television audience in Equatorial Guinea was regarding what the role of Prime Minister entails.
The main achievements during his time at the head of the Government and the obstacles which, in one way or another, made the situation more difficult, and the reorientation of political programmes related to Horizonte 2020, were some of the other issues raised during the interview.
During the programme, Obama Asue answered other questions such as those on the measures taken by the Government to fight against corruption; rising prices; the minimum inter-professional salary; the improvements to public transport, and respect for the working timetable, among other issues relating to the social policies implemented by the Government.
Regarding the measures to be taken for those who are respecting neither the laws nor the regulations in our country, the Prime Minister was optimistic, and said that what the Government was trying to do was not to punish officials, but to encourage them to see reason.
With the interview over, Obama Asue, at the invitation of the Minister for Information, Press and Radio, Eugenio Nze Obiang, visited the facilities of the organisation in order to see the refurbishment work that is taking place.
During the tour, in a short talk, the Prime Minister invited reporters in the central control room to make reading a habit and thus increase their levels of culture and professionalism.
Before leaving the facilities, he congratulated the executive at the Ministry for Information, Press and Radio, led by Eugenio Nze Obiang, for the achievements of this state channel.
