The Minister for Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Agapito Mba Mokuy, accompanied by the Secretary of State, Domingo Mituy Edjang, received in his office at the departmental headquarters in Malabo II, the Ambassador from the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Daniel Cartaya Laya.
The meeting between the Minister for Foreign Affairs and the Venezuelan Ambassador was aimed at covering bilateral matters concerning the review of agreements signed between Equatorial Guinea and Venezuela, in order to continue to work positively, as two brother countries, according to declarations by the diplomat following the meeting with the minister.
Daniel Cartaya Laya also pointed out that the two countries are following the processes of all signed agreements, and the ministries for Foreign Affairs from the two countries are working together in a coordinated manner.
Equatorial Guinea and Venezuela have agreements regarding the education, forests and environment, culture, technology and energy sectors. In the not too distant future the two countries expect to hold a Mixed Commission meeting.
