As we have been reporting since the start of 2019, various pan-African organisations from civic society throughout Europe are designing a new international award which recognises the work of a Head of State on a global level, to be given the title of best President in the world.
Various African presidents are candidates, and the Ambassador in Brussels, Carmelo Nvono-Nca, is carrying out an intense campaign throughout Europe in order that this award, which will be granted in 2020, is given to the President of Equatorial Guinea, H. E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo.
While visiting the Italian capital, Nvono-Nca took the opportunity to meet a recognised pan-African organisation based in Italy, the DAICS association (African Diaspora in Central and Southern Italy).
At the meeting, which was held with the president of the association, Ibrahim Cameras, the Ambassador explained in depth the merits that justify that, in what is the first edition of the award, the honour should be granted to President Obiang. Cameras, for his part, stated in the name of the African diaspora in Italy that both the work of the Equatoguinean President and that of H. E. Macky Sall, President of Senegal, were widely recognised.
