Ambassador in Brussels oversees work on legal team for the International Court of Justice

The Equatorial Guinea Ambassador before the Kingdom of Belgium and the Netherlands, Carmelo Nvono-Nca, oversaw an important meeting with the team of international lawyers who have for over two years been defending Equatorial Guinea in the case open against France before the International Court of Justice (ICJ). Although the court ruled in favour of Equatorial Guinea last year in the matter of the “preliminary exceptions”, the case is not yet concluded and there are still some sessions to come.

For that reason, the Ambassador, who is also a lawyer in the case before the CIJ, met the entire legal team in the Belgian capital, with the aim of seeking new strategies to work on for the next stage before the International Court of Justice, which could take place at the end of 2019 or the beginning of 2020.
