Ambassador in US receives delegation from Programme to Eliminate Malaria in Bioko

The ViceMinister for Health and Social Welfare, Mitoha Ondo Ayekaba, led the delegation, which included the presence of executive directors of the nongovernmental organisation MCDI, Christopher Schwabe, the company Sanaria Laurence, LemieleBierinx, and the director general for National Content from the Ministry for Mines and Hydrocarbons, Jacinto Nguema Owono.

The visit was arranged following the recent celebration of the annual Concordia conference in New York, where BIMEP was a finalist and received two of the P3 impact prizes for the essential and promising progress made in the development of a vaccine against malaria on the island of Bioko.

The Concordia P3 Impact award is recognition from the United States Government of global initiatives for sustainable human, social or economic development.
