Ambassador to Congo receives Egyptian counterpart in audience

The accredited Republic of Equatorial Guinea Ambassador to Congo-Brazzaville, Samuel Ateba Owono Iyanga, received in audience the also accredited Egyptian Ambassador to Congo, Hatem Kandil.

This audience is one of the first contact meetings for the Equatoguinean diplomat with his accredited counterparts in Congo. The meeting between the two diplomats took place at our country’s embassy headquarters. At the meeting, described as courtesy, Ateba Owono was accompanied by the adviser to the embassy, Rafael Mba Esangui.

During the conversations, the ambassadors promised to work closely in the bilateral, multilateral and personal areas, in order to strengthen existing relations of friendship and cooperation between Malabo and Cairo. The two diplomats highlighted the increase in cooperation in the interests of their respective countries.

The Egyptian diplomat congratulated his Equatoguinean counterpart on the 50th Anniversary of the Independence of Equatorial Guinea on 12th October, and the excellent organisation of the event in Malabo.
