Ambassador to Spain receives Guillermo Antonio Lopez Mac-Lellan

The head of the Equatoguinean diplomatic mission in Spain, Purificacion Angue Ondo, received last month the new Spanish Ambassador to Equatorial Guinea, Guillermo Antonio Lopez Mac-Lellan.

Minutes after receiving the Spanish ambassador, at the headquarters of the Equatoguinean embassy in Madrid, Purificacion Angue Ondo, together with the adviser Bernabe Mitongo Bindang, went to the official residence, where the act of introduction for the Spanish diplomat took place.

The friendly meeting began with a few words from the ambassador: As is widely known, the people of Equatorial Guinea have undertaken, under the impulse of the President of the Republic, H. E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, a vast structural transformation programme for the country. From this perspective we can, taking into account the potential and opportunities offered by our two countries, make of our cooperation a credible, satisfactory model for the benefit of our populations”.

For their part, the Spanish authorities expressed gratitude to the diplomatic mission for such a warm welcome.

The event was also attended by the Spanish Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs. Ildefonso Castro Lopez; the Director General for the Arab World, Africa, the Mediterranean and Middle East, and the Spanish Ambassador to Israel, Manuel Gomez-Acebo.

Muana Sinepi and Gorsi Edu, Equatoguinean artists, entertained the meeting.
