Equatorial Guinea attends V Francophone Seminar on the Mechanisms of the Universal Periodic Review organised in the city of Dakar during 25th, 26th and 27th July.
A delegation from our country headed by the Director General of Human Rights, Manuel Mba Nchama, and including the Ambassador of the Permanent Mission in the United Nations in Geneva, Lazaro Ekua Avomo, attended the seminar on the Mechanisms of the Universal Periodic Review at which all countries are going to go through their third series in the framework of achievements and advancements, in addition to setbacks in Human Rights matters.
The meeting served as an exchange of experiences among the countries in the sense of the elaboration of national reports, according to the international documents that each nation confirmed.
SegA�n Mba Nchama, Equatorial Guinea will present its third national report in 2019 on their achievements concerning Human Rights. A cross-sector committee constituted by our government has started to work on such report, hiring two national experts for its elaboration, as this national report shall have to be sent to the Human Rights Council in Geneva, and no later than November this year.
