The Equatorial Guinea Ambassador Permanent Representative before the United Nations, Anatolio Ndong Mba, has sent a message of congratulations to the Head of State, H. E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, to mark the celebration of National Armed Forces Day. The entire contents are published below.
To His Excellency Obiang Nguema Mbasogo:
President of the Republic, Head of State and of the Government, Founder of the Democratic Party of Equatorial Guinea and Captain General of the National Armed Forces.
To commemorate the 38th anniversary of the glorious 3rd August, National Armed Forces Day, on which in the early hours in 1979, filled with patriotic spirit, H. E. began a feat of liberation of the people of Equatorial Guinea from the regime of terror under which the country had been trapped for 11 years. The feat ended with a victory thanks to which the entire people are experiencing the current unprecedented transformations towards emergence, and the fruit of this tireless work for the benefit of our people is that Equatorial Guinea has earned in 2017 the post of non-permanent member of the UN Security Council, with a historic record that is applauded on a national and international level.
It is for that reason that, in the name of the entire staff at this permanent mission before the United Nations, and in my own, I congratulate H. E. and the National Armed Forces for this historic day which meant the arrival of freedom in our country.
I ask Almighty God to bless and provide a long life for H. E. and his distinguished family, in order to continue to successfully decide the historic destiny of Equatorial Guinea.
The greatest of regards,
Anatolio Ndong Mba
