Within the context of parallel activities taking place during the presidency of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea of the UN Security Council, there are dialogue meetings held between our country and organisations that work with the United Nations.
The Ambassador Permanent Representative of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea before the United Nations, Anatolio Ndong Mba, co-chaired an important meeting on 11th February with the civic society, at the UN headquarters in New York.
The meeting, which was attended by representatives from several other countries from the Security Council, served as an occasion for the Equatoguinean diplomat and various international organisations to speak about a variety of situations in some regions of the world.
Ndong Mba, who was accompanied by the deputy permanent representatives, Job Obiang Esono Mbengono and Amparo Mele Colifa, responded to various questions put by organisations such as Human Rights Watch and other signatories to the United nations System, on the procedures of the Security Council in general, and the presidency of the body in particular, in order to resolve problems put to it and including on its agenda the involvement of civic society.
