Equatoguinean ambassador to Angola Jose Esono Micha Akeny stressed Friday in Luanda the excellent relations between the two countries.
This was at the end of an audience the Vice President of Republic, Manuel Domingos Vicente, granted to him.
The diplomat told the press that despite existing good relations in political and institutional fields, the two countries still need to work on trade area.
In order to boost the trade cooperation, the two countries are outlining strategies for greater involvement of the local companies through business associations.
Jose Esono Micha Akeny also said that during the audience, he discussed with Vice President of Angola the state of bilateral relations between the two countries and strengthening of specific sectors.
Among development areas, the diplomat referred to the existing cooperation in the field of security and institutional support.
Equatorial Guinea has recently won its membership in the Community of Portuguese Language Countries (CPLP) relying on the assistance by brother countries, like Angola.
He also mentioned the existence of agreement in sectors of fisheries, education, exchanges between Agostinho Neto University and Equatoguinean counterpart.
Likewise, the diplomat said he conveyed his thanks to the Vice President for support the Angolan authorities and people extended to him during his tenure.
