Anatolio Ndong Mba, Ambassador Permanent Representative of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea before the UN, has been received by the General Secretary of the organisation, Antonio Guterres, in order to look at questions regarding cooperation between Malabo and the United Nations.
The meeting also served as an occasion for the Equatoguinean diplomat to deliver to Guterres a written message sent by the President of the Republic, H. E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, the contents of which have not been revealed to the media.
Furthermore, Ndong Mba reported to the General Secretary on the attempt at destabilisation which has just occurred in the country, through the infiltration of mercenaries sent from Chad and other countries in the subregion.
Guterrres welcomed the message, together with the information, and confirmed that his special envoy for Central Africa, Francois Lonseny Fall, would soon travel to Malabo to meet government authorities.
The ambassador was accompanied by the First Deputy Permanent Representative, Charged with the Security Council, Job Obiang Esono Mbengono.
