Since 10th October the city of Malabo has hosted grand figures and statesmen from Africa and the world in general, who are in the capital to attend the commemorative events marking the 50th Anniversary of Independence for the Republic of Equatorial Guinea.
Among the visiting Heads of State are the President of Yibuti, H. E. Ismail Omar Guelleh; the King of Eswatini, H. M. Mswate III; the President of Cape Verde, H. E. Jorge Carlos de Almeida Fonseca; the Head of State from Burundi, H. E. Pierre Nkurunziza; the President of Zimbabwe, H. E. Emerson Dambuszo Manangagwa; the President from Guinea Bissau, H. E. Jose Mario Vaz Gomes and the President from o de SAPound o Tome and Principe, H. E. Evaristo Calvalho. Other African statesmen who have arrived are the President of Guinea Conakry, H. E. Alpha Conde, and the President from the Republic of Niger, H. E. Mamadou Issoufou.
Among the delegations are those led by Vice-President of the Permanent Committee of the Chinese People’s Assembly, Zhang Chunxian; one from the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, led by Ri Ryong Nam; one from the Kingdom of Dubai, represented by Prince Ahmed Dalmook Al Maktour; the President of the Senate from Gabon, Lucie Milebou Aubusson; the Representative of the Russian Federation, Mikhail Bogdadanov, and the President’s Assistant in Defence Matters from the Arab Kingdom of Egypt, Marshall Sidky Sobhi, among others.
