Arrival of President in New York

The Equatoguinean delegation led by the President of the Republic, H. E. ObiangNguemaMbasogo, arrived atJohn Fitzgerald Kennedy International Airport in New York, and was received by a delegation led by the Minister for Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, SimeonOyonoEsono, the Ambassador Representative from the Equatorial Guinea Permanent Mission before the United Nations Organisation (UN), AnatolioNdongMba, and various members of the entourage which will accompany the Head of State.

The aim of the visit by the Head of State is to attend the 73rd United Nations General Assembly which begins on Tuesday 25th September, the objective of which is to build a United Nations which is relevant to all people.

During his stay in the United States, the Head of State will hold meetings and audiences with other world leaders, and will take part in meetings of bilateral summits on peace, security and armed conflict as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council.

On 2nd Avenue and 51st Street in Manhattan, the Equatoguinean colony was waiting to welcome the leader of the nation.
