The President of the Republic, H. E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, arrived on 18th August in Ankara, the capital of the Republic of Turkey, at the head of a delegation of a Equatoguinean authorities, to attend the work of the VI Great Congress of the Justice and Development Party.
The Equatoguinean leader made the trip at the invitation on his Turkish counterpart, H. E. Recep Tayyip Erdogan. The invitation comes within the framework of the strengthening of relations of friendship and cooperation linking the Republic of Equatorial Guinea and the Turkish Republic.
During his stay, the Equatoguinean President will attend the activities scheduled for the celebration of the VI Great Ordinary Congress of the Justice and Development Party (PJD), with the work to begin on 18th August.
This is the second invitation issued by the Turkish President to his Equatoguinean counterpart within sixty days; the first was in July, following the victory of his party with overwhelming electoral results over other groupings.
At Esenboga International Airport, the Head of State was received by Turkish authorities, members of our delegation, and the guard of honour.
Following a brief rest in the presidential pavilion in the presence of members of the two delegations, the two Presidents exchanged their first impressions regarding the importance of the event.
