The President of the Council of the Republic, Charged with Advising the President of the Republic in Public State Affairs, Ignacio Milam Tang, received in audience the accredited Extraordinary Plenipotentiary Ambassador to Equatorial Guinea from the Republic of Cuba, Rodobaldo Isasi Herrera, within the framework of his tour of visits introducing himself to the authorities in Malabo, following the presentation of his Credentials before the President of the Republic, H. E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo.
At his official office in Sipopo, this first audience granted by Milam Tang to the new Cuban ambassador allowed him to introduce himself to the president of the Council of the Republic, who welcomed the diplomat to our country, and congratulated him on his accreditation in Malabo, reviewing and praising the excellent relations of friendship and cooperation which exist happily between the two countries, going back to when our country gained national independence, and its positive repercussion in the education and health sectors, in addition to the desire for his diplomatic functions in Equatorial Guinea to be successful.
The meeting between the two figures was attended by the Adviser from the said Embassy, Grisel Alina Aldama, the Director General for America at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs, Armando Kote Echuaka, and the Head of the Cabinet of the President of the Council of the Republic, Eusatquia Ada Ndong.
The visit by the Cuban ambassador to the Council of the Republic is following a number of contacts being made by the Caribbean diplomat with national authorities, following his designation and the presentation of Credentials before the President of the Republic. The day before this meeting, he was received by the Vice-President from the same institution, Vicente Ehate Tomi.
