The Equatorial Guinea Plenipotentiary Extraordinary Ambassador to the Kingdom of Morocco, Crisantos Obama Ondo, met a delegation of representatives from the provinces in the north of Morocco.
The meeting served as a framework for the president of the province of Chefchaouen, Abderrahim Bouazza, to present the Representative of the State of Equatorial Guinea with his intentions to form closer relations of cooperation and exchange with some Equatoguinean provinces and municipalities.
To that end, the ambassador, after thanking the authorities for their visit and aims, highlighted the importance of strengthening relations of friendship, understanding and cooperation between the two peoples and municipalities of Equatorial Guinea and Morocco, as an additional strategy to boost economic, cultural and tourism exchanges, in accordance with the desires of their Heads of State: H. E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo and H. M. Mohammed VI.
In addition, during the meeting, the two parties recognised the special close ties joining the north of Morocco with Equatorial Guinea, given their similar Hispanic history and culture.
After setting out specific intentions and the desire to sign twinning agreements with municipalities in Equatorial Guinea in the near future, they took advantage of the occasion to present Crisantos Obama Ondo with a certificate of thanks and recognition for his work in favour of closeness and sincere friendship between the two African countries.
