The Minister of Foreign Affairs for International Relations and Cooperation, Agapito Mba Mokuy, received on Thursday, May 28, the Ambassadors of the People’s Republic of China, Georgia, Angola and the Consul General of Switzerland.
During the meeting with the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China in our country, Zhao Hongsheng, the two diplomats discussed the implementation of the results of the fruitful visit to China just made by the Head of State, H.E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, in which many successes were harvested in the progress of economic and bilateral relations between the two countries.
The Ambassador of Angola, Gilberto Buta Lutucuta, was the second legate to meet with the Equatorial Guinean Minister of Foreign Affairs. Speaking to the press, in addition to reaffirming that Equatorial Guinea and Angola are friendly countries and maintain good relations, he said they are working for their continuity. The official visit that will soon be made by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Internal Affairs and Local Corporations, Clemente Engonga Nguema Onguene, to that African nation, with the aim of enhancing cooperation in the fields of security, was another of the issues addressed during the audience.
Meanwhile, Vakhtang Jaoshvili, Ambassador of Georgia, after meeting with Mokuy Mba, also said that his country has good relations with us, and did not rule out the possibility that bilateral cooperation could be extended to several sectors: “We are negotiating to reach agreements in multilateral areas, so that our two countries can share experiences.”
