BANGE attends Sibos 17

The Equatorial Guinea National Bank, for the first time in its history, is taking part as an exhibitor at the main international event that brings together all the banking organisations and main financial players operating on a global level. The event is Sibos 17, which is being held in Toronto (Canada), from 16th to 19th October.

All the large global organisations, Fintechs and main regulators are attending the fair in order to present their main innovations and products being offered to the market.

BANGE is taking part on stand K41, a privileged physical location within the event, among neighbours such as Bank of China, Ripple (the main Blockchain operator on a global level), Wells Fargo, BNY Mellon (the main wholesale banker in the world), Natixis, and other important companies.

The Equatorial Guinea National Bank, on only its first day taking part, had more than twenty meetings with financial operators, with the main aim of these meetings being the setting up of correspondent relations, and the search for partners that can collaborate on the diversification of the country’s economy, through their experience in the commodities market, through the agricultural or industrial credit bank, or through being pioneers in banking technology projects.

The members making up the Equatoguinean delegation are; Martin Crisanto EBE MBA (PCA); Nuria Mandje (Small and Medium-sized Enterprises); Carmen Nchama Nfono (Marketing); Salvador Santiago Ebang Nguidang (Management Control and Projects); Julio Cesar Micha Nfono (Representation Office) and Rafael Garcia Rodriguez (Representation Office).

The companies that met BANGE during the first day were from a variety of geographical areas; various Turkish banks, organisations from North America, South Africa, the Middle East, Portugal, Czech Republic, etc.

Over the coming days and up to Thursday 19th October, more than forty meetings are planned, which will be multiplied by the massive presence of the public on our stand. The next few days will be a repetition of the first day: from meetings with financial organisations to banking service companies of all kinds.

Finally, the networking format is important at all these events, and for that reason the BANGE delegation is invited to all the meetings with the main banking operators in various cocktail parties, dinners and other social events held.

There are daily conferences which our delegation is attending, such as the Conference on the Future of Correspondent Banking.
