On 16th July the People’s council of Basile celebrated the fiesta of their patron, Our Lady of Carmen.
To celebrate this fiesta, the people’s council sent an invitation to the First Lady, Constancia Mangue de Obiang. Due to her bust schedule she was unable to attend, but she sent a representative from her cabinet, Diosdado Oyono Ncogo, to pass on her gratitude to the population, and present them with some gifts to help celebrate their patron’s fiesta.
The ceremony was attended by the deputy from geopolitical area E of Malabo, Felisa Amady Suakin, the president of the people’s council, Miguel A�ngel Suakin, and the traditional chief, Manuel Suakin Eteho.
