CAN 2015: Algeria qualifies for the quarterfinals

The national team of Algeria won by 2-0 against Senegal, which has disappointed in this championship and ends its involvement in the Africa Cup of Nations, CAN 2015. For its part Algeria, without much game, is classified as second in the group.

The match was played on January 27 at the New Stadium of Malabo. Within ten minutes, the Algerians got ahead on the scoreboard with a goal by Maharez from a pass from Bougherra, who took advantage of a distraction of the Senegalese defense.

They could have tied at the 45th minute, but the defense Bentaleb stood in the path of the ball and prevented the danger. The opportunity for the Senegalese team arrived at the 82nd minute with the second goal of the Algerians, scored by Bentaleb.

With this result, Algeria passes as second in the group and Senegal is eliminated. In the other match, Ghana won by two goals to one against South Africa and passes as first in the group.
