CAN 2015: Congo Brazzaville wins against Burkina Faso

In the second Group B match, played on January 25 at the stadium in Ebebiyin, the national team of Congo Brazzaville won by two goals to one against Burkina Faso, which is therefore eliminated from the tournament. The Red Devils pass as first in group with seven points and the Nzalang does so as second with five points.

The national team of Burkina Faso had an obligation to win in order to reach the quarterfinals, but its game was disappointing and lacked depth to overcome the defense of the national team of Congo.

The first goal came just before halftime, when a play by Fode was finished off by the star of the Reds Devils, Thievy. With this result, they reached halftime and required Burkina Faso to score two goals in the second half.

The task was not easy, because until this match they had not scored; and the opportunity came at the end of the game when the player Bance determined the tie. There was time to score the second goal, but it was Congo, taking advantage of a mistake by the goalkeeper Nguessi, who obtained the victory and first place in the group.
