CAN 2015: Ghana beats South Africa by 2-1

In the match played at the stadium in Malabo, the national team of Ghana qualified for the quarterfinals as first in the group, after winning against the national team of South Africa, which had gotten ahead on the scoreboard.

The match began with several clear chances for the Black Eagles of Ghana, but it was the team of South Africa who got ahead on the scoreboard with a goal volleyed by Masango, which put great excitement in the match. The Bafana Bafana launched the attack and had a good chance to obtain the second goal.

In the second half, things changed and the players from Ghana launched themselves for a tie; first Gyan in the shooting of a free kick, had a great opportunity, but the first goal would come at the 73rd minutes with a shot by Boye. Ten minutes later, Andre Ayew scored the second goal with a header.

With this result, Ghana passes as first in the group with the same points as Algeria, thanks to their victory against the Algerians during the second round.
