The national team reached the city of Malabo on the morning of February 3, on a charter flight of the company Ceiba Intercontinental, to play on February 5 against the national team of Ghana. The Minister of Youth and Sports, Francisco Pascual Obama, bid farewell to the team in the Bata International Airport and wished them luck in the transcendental match on Thursday.
The National Nzalang received a warm reception from the fans of the capital, upon their arrival at the Malabo International Airport. From there, the national team travelled directly to the Hotel Sofitel Malabo Le Golf, which will be their official residence in the city, where they will play the semifinals of the CAN against the national team of Ghana.
Upon their arrival at the hotel, a great welcome by all the employees of the Sofitel awaited them, with applause and cheers for the players, who went directly to eat and rest for a couple of hours before the afternoon workout.
The National Nzalang traveled to the nearby town of Rebola, where the pupils of Esteban Becker performed various physical and tactical exercises before playing a practice match with which they ended the session.
The day ended with a press conference of the coach Esteban Becker and the three team captains, Emilio Nsue, Javier Balboa and Juvenal Edjogo, and the dinner, after which the players went to their rooms to rest.
