Every 25th November is International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women. For that reason, there was a mass in memory of women who are the victims of violence in Malabo Cathedral, with a huge participation by members of the Government and women from various groupings.
The Eucharistic mass began at around 8 o’clock in the morning, in the presence of the Third Vice-Minister of the Government, Charged with Human Rights, Alfonso Nsue Mokuy; the Minister for Social Affairs and Gender Equality, Maria Consuelo Nguema Owana, and the Minister for Education, JesA�s Engonga Ndong, among others.
In the homily, in relation to the theme of gender violence, the celebrant pointed out various types of violence which occurs in our society, and invited all those present to be aware and prevent each of them from happening.
