On the morning of Thursday 9th August, the headquarters of the Bioko Official Chamber of Commerce was the setting for a meeting of the Equatorial Guinea Chambers of Commerce National Council, which was attended by the two chambers in the country.
The Deputy Minister for Trade and the Promotion of Small and Medium-sized Companies, Alberto Doria Lajay, accompanied by the departmental vice-minister, Domingo Mba Esono, oversaw the meeting, dealing with the statutes of the institution through decree number 93/2015, of 4th September.
The meeting began with approval of the minutes from the previous National Council, by the General Secretary of the Bioko Chamber of Commerce. Following approval, the meeting moved on to study the approval of the scale of the right to charge for the official chambers, and compliance by the institution with regards to their attention to companies in the national private sector.
The third point was the examination and approval of the end of period accounts and the liquidation of budgets for the 2017 economic period. Furthermore, the budget for 2018 was presented, and a report on the liquidation of the budget for the first quarter.
The approval of the action plan, the new Government plans, and the any other business section, were some of the other matters covered during the Chamber of Commerce National Council.
