Chevron presents new projects to H. E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo

As part of his working schedule during his stay in Washington, the President of the Republic, H. E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, held a working session on the afternoon of Monday 12th December, with the executive committee of the gas company Chevron, headed by its International President, Mr. Kleink.

This was the first meeting between the two figures, and it took place against the backdrop of the presentation to H. E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo of new projects that the company plans to launch in the near future in Equatorial Guinea in the gas sector, after successfully completing projects contracted with Noble Energy in 2020.

The new projects include the construction of a gas pipeline that would facilitate the distribution of gas from the Aseng platform to Punta Europa, and the cross-border project with Cameroon, whose execution, according to the American businessman, is already eminent, given that the company has all the necessary financial resources in place for its implementation.

The multinational Chevron’s new projects will have a positive impact on the country, as they will not only generate revenue for the State, but also create jobs for local people. This was confirmed by the president of Chevron, who stated that, for his company, the concept of local personnel is fundamental and forms part of its philosophy, not only through the projects in progress, but also for those in the future, generating new jobs on a national level.
