The Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China in Bata held on Monday, February 16, the Spring Festival, also known as New Year according to the Chinese calendar.
This event, held in a Chinese restaurant located in the city of Bata, was presided over by the Consul General of the People’s Republic of China, Gu Jiafeng, in the presence of provincial and district authorities headed by Amado Nguema Owono, Bonifacio Ndong Manga, Governor and Mayor of Bata, respectively.
Jianfeng took the opportunity to inform the audience that in the near future the consulate will begin offering consular documentation services such as passports, visas and certificates, for Equatorial Guinean and Chinese citizens residing in the mainland.
As stated by the Chinese diplomat: “I am convinced that this measure may facilitate the paperwork, expand economic, cultural and technological exchanges between the Republic of Equatorial Guinea and China, as well as promoting the existing bilateral relations of friendship between these two friendly countries.”
Finally, on behalf of all the staff of the consulate, Gu Jiafeng wished a happy Spring Festival to all the Chinese residents in Equatorial Guinea in general and to the residents in the mainland, in particular.
