Closing ceremony at VIII MAO Forum

The work of the VIII National Forum of the Friends of Obiang Movement, which took place in the city of Peace from 30th July to 1st August 2018, entered its final phase on the afternoon of Wednesday 1st August, under the slogan, Thinking about the Past, the Present and the Future with the Great Friend, His Excellency Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, for the People of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea.

The Friends of Obiang Movement is convinced that the ideals of humanitarianism, unity and solidarity embodied in the Great Friend Obiang Nguema Mbasogo have once again triumphed in order to guarantee Peace, Progress and Well-being for the eternal benefit of a Better Guinea.

It is the result of three days of reflection in the City of Peace, capital of the province of Dimmable, which brought together all the committees within the organisation, the diplomatic corps and heads of duly accredited International Organisations in our country, institutional bodies, Government members, the governing Democratic Party of Equatorial Guinea, and other political parties from the democratic opposition, together with special guests from friendly countries.

The closing ceremony began with motions from the committees from throughout the nation, represented by Marcelino Oyono Ntutumu, the Continental Region, and A�ngel Serrafin Seriche Dougan Malabo, from the insular part. In addition to evaluating and praising the organisation of these days of reflection on a national nature, they condemned the terrorist attack suffered by the Great Friend in December of 2017. For that reason, all present committed to supporting the Head of State through the biblical expression which says,quote: If God is with you, who can be against you”. Unquote.

The natives from the island province of Annobon also presented a request to hold the following national gathering of the Friends of Obiang Movement.

The National General Coordinator of the Youth Federation of the Democratic Party of Equatorial Guinea, in his speech, pointed out the aims for which this organisation had been created, and agree with MAO, and as such ASHO and MAO junior, to walk together in the hand of the same person, His Excellency Obiang Nguema Mbasogo.

With the presence of the National Vice-President and Great Friend, Constancia Mangue de Obiang; Friend Fortunato Zambo Machinde, as National President; Friend Anacleto Olo Mibuy, General Secretary, and other components from the table, the spontaneous motions captured the attention of the hall, from where each and every person made a contribution.

The Friends thus proceeded to offer MAO social projects of various natures, grants for higher degrees, both within and beyond the country’s borders, millions in financial support and employment opportunities, to list but a few.

The provision which received most applause was from Friend Protasia Mikue, who contributed only four thousand Franco CFA.

Details like the governing chair or Nkukuma which was presented by Friend Lucas Nguema Esono Mbang to the President of the MAO Steering Committee, from which he said he would administer family justice.

The final communique from Friend Alejandro Evuna Owono Asangono covered in a general way the entire contents of these three days of conversations based on friendship, while the Djibloho Declaration, delivered by Friend Santiago Nsobeya Efuman Nchama, expressed the opportunity that this far-reaching event supposes for the insertion of dialogue and brotherly consensus in order to resolve the problems of today and the challenges of tomorrow.

Various resolutions were sanctioned by the VIII MAO National Forum, such as recognition of the effort made by certain Friends in favour of the country. Along those lines, the Occupational Training Centres in Annobon and Baney have been renamed Ciriaco Tamarite Burgos and Eulogio Oyo Riqueza, respectively.

The Friends of Obiang Movement Junior also created the City of the Kids, and they roundly supported the Great Friend, His Excellency Obiang Nguema Mbasogo regarding the terrorist attack of 24th December, while condemning the authors of the deed.

The VIII National Forum also extended posthumous recognition to more than sixty Friends, and also praised the services of the Djibloho Grand Hotel for the organisation of events of a national nature.

The President of the MAO Steering Committee, in his reflections, pointed out that this institution had been has been growing stronger and finding purpose through its significant role in national life, as it intervenes in the socialisation of men with the complementarity of ideals within the environment, and the social aims proposed as the ends of human society.

MAO is a platform of harmony which is becoming essential for the sustaining of Human Unity and National Unity which guarantee man as the supreme goal including his own importance, mentioning His Excellency Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, and referring to the philosophy of this apolitical organisation.

The creation of the Obiang Nguema Foundation for Humanitarianism and Peace was also announced, and it will operate through the economic support of the Friends. It will be launched soon. Thus the structures of the MAO were transformed, in order to improve the interpretation of its philosophy, into fixed and permanent structures, which envisage new strategies in order to make even more active and entrenched its spirit within our society.

The date for the VIII MAO National Forum this year has brought up a renewed commitment to solidarity and friendship, reaffirming the conviction that friendship is the main link that enriches peoples, and is the best and main legacy of the Great Friend, His Excellency Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, for present and future generations.
