Closing of Superior Leadership Course Given in China

The course was undertaken in the International College of Defence Studies in Beijing and ran from 1st March to 24th July.

The graduation of the officials from the Superior Leadership Course was organised by the Ministry of National Defence of the Republic of China. The training lasted five months and was attended by 49 students from 20 countries including Equatorial Guinea.

The objectives of the course were the study of national military security and leadership; to increase the level of strategic thinking; learn basic procedures to elaborate national, military strategies; increase the capacity of strategic planning of the construction of national defence and armed forces; dominate employment methods and means of military forces to defend national security, and to obtain the knowledge and qualities necessary to take responsibility of the highest positions in leadership.

The ceremony began with a welcome speech by the Rector of the National University of Defence in Beijing, Brigadier General, Xiao Tian Liang, who gave a report on the course. At the same time, he praised the students for their high capacity of comprehension and understanding, and continued his intervention by encouraging them to practice their acquired knowledge.

Members of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea military force, frigate captain, Serafin Ndong Mba Ncara, and Colonel, Felix Bibang Bibang, were two of the official graduates who participated in the course due to the good bilateral relations between the People’s Republic of China and the Republic of Equatorial Guinea.
