The Equatorial Guinea Embassy in the United Kingdom has sent a communique of support to Teodoro Nguema Obiang Mangue, Vice-President of the Republic, who is currently facing a judicial process in Paris. Below is the full text of the message.

The Equatorial Guinea Embassy in the United Kingdom and all its personnel is united in spirit with all Equatoguineans who today, Monday 19th June 2017, outside and inside national territory, declare their support for the Vice-President Charged with Defence and Security, who will have to face a new challenge in his political trajectory.

It is our desire that Almighty God protects him and provides him with forbearance and serenity. Justice is a universal asset which should not be manipulated or abused, even less distorted in the service of fictitious empires.

It is the full conviction of this Embassy that at the end of this judicial process in Paris, our Vice-President will emerge strengthened by the truth or facts, and not affected by the fictitious intrigues of his detractors.
