Condolences from the President in relation to the plane crash in Algeria

The Head of State, H. E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, has sent a message of condolences to his Algerian counterpart, H. E. Abdelaziz Buteflika, lamenting the death of 257 people in the aircraft accident that occurred in Blida, in the province of Boufarik. We publish the entire contents below.

Message of condolence

Mr. President and Dear Brother,

It is with extreme regret that we received the sad news of the accident involving a military plane, which occurred close to the Algerian city of Blida, in the Province of Boufarik, resulting in the death of 257 people.

Shocked by this news, the people of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea, and their Government, join with me in expressing to Your Excellency and the Algerian People our deepest condolences, pain and consternation for this tragic accident, while offering our moral support and solidarity at this moment of sadness.

We ask Your Excellency to extend our condolences to the grieving families.
