The President of Equatorial Guinea congratulated his counterparts, Raul Castro, President of the Republic of Cuba, and Barack Obama, President of the United States of America (USA), for the announcement of restoring diplomatic relations between the two countries. Other Equatorial Guinean personalities have passed on their congratulations to the embassy.
The Head of State of Equatorial Guinea, Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, sent two separate congratulatory messages to his counterparts in the Republic of Cuba and the United States of America, regarding the recent announcement of the restoration of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
In his message, the Equatorial Guinean president said that surely this new link “will benefit both peoples.”
The message from the Head of State was not the only one sent from Equatorial Guinea, since the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Agapito Mba Mokuy, received in audience the Ambassador of Cuba in Equatorial Guinea, Pedro Doña Santana, to whom he also expressed his congratulations for this important announcement of the restoration of relations. On her part, the Senate President, Teresa Efua Asangono, from the continental region of the country where she is carrying out her mission, also conveyed to the Cuban ambassador her sincere congratulations for this event.
Other high personalities of Equatorial Guinea also stated their congratulations on the subject after the announcement by the United States and the Republic of Cuba.
