Coordination meeting at Ministry of Information, Press and Radio

The executive at the Ministry for Information, Press and Radio met on Wednesday 12th April at the headquarters of Equatorial Guinea Television (TVGE), to look at action plans for all the general directorates and similar departments. The meeting was chaired by the head of this department, Eugenio Nze Obiang.

For over four hours, the executive from the Ministry for Information, Press and Radio met at the headquarters of Equatorial Guinea Television (TVGE), to go over the action plans for all the general directorates making up the department.

At the meeting, led by the Minister for Information, Eugenio Nze Obiang, they looked closely at the problems affecting the operations of each directorate, together with their proposals and action plans for 2017.

Among the matters covered were the cleaning up of the news in the TVGE news programmes, together with the duration of the reports, which the council fixed at no longer than one minute.

Other points studied were the strict control over the working material recently acquired by the ministry to boost work in all areas and sections; absenteeism; the updating of the front page of the Equatorial Guinea Institutional Web Page, and the introduction on it of the Portuguese language, and the reactivation of the TVGE internet channel, among others.

The minister Nze Obiang congratulated the directorate for the work being carried out, and asked them to continue to move forward along these lines, redoubling efforts in order to continue to achieve more objectives: “I felt obliged to meet you to share some views regarding the progress of the department; in fact, it is necessary that we evaluate little by little the progress of the work under these action plans from each directorate.

We must continue to work in order to gain the trust of our viewers, listeners and readers. Within this context I am asking the councillors to get more involved in the activities of the general directorates, and advise the heads of these areas in order to promote the objectives proposed by the ministry”.
