On 18th October, the Government met in a Council of Minister Session at the People’s Palace in Malabo, in the presence of the Head of State, H. E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, and attendance by the Vice-President of the Republic, Teodoro Nguema Obiang Mbasogo, and the Prime Minister, Francisco Pascual Obama Asue, among other Government figures.
The session began with the approval of the agenda, and a reading and approval, in the event, of the minutes from the previous session.
The meeting heard the synthesis report presented by the Prime Minister of the Government, and look at draft laws for the General State Budgets for the 2019 economic period, and the draft law to modify specific articles in Law number 2/2014, of 28th July, on civil State officials, by the department for Public Administration and Administrative Reform.
During the council meeting, which took place six days after the celebration of the 50th Anniversary of Independence, H. E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo and the government team also looked at the framework document of the Stockholm Convention, on Persistent Organic Pollutants, and its annexes, by the Department for Agriculture.
The council meeting concluded with the any other business section.
