Course on children’s rights for journalists comes to a close

Journalists from state radio and television and Asonga took part in the course for journalists on the rights of children, in Bata, which ended on 21st April.

On the five-day course the following topics were looked at: general introduction to the script; script structure; general steps in the creation of a script; script classes; script for adverts; creation and presentation of a radio programme; important figures in radio and television production; creation and presentation of a television programme; review of sources of information; the use of internet as a source of information; together with the antennas of the National Committee for Children’s Rights. The programme was given in two daily sessions; morning and afternoon.

The aim of the course is to promote the rights of Equatoguinean children and spread information to the population via radio and television programmes aimed at parents.

It is expected that the same training will take place in the Insular Region, where the activity will be completed.
