The Ministers for Youth and Sports in the Community of Portuguese Language Countries (CPLP) have met in Portugal to debate various matters regarding these ministries.
Equatorial Guinea was represented by the accredited ambassador from our country to Portugal and before the CPLP, Tito Mba Ada, who put forward the case of visas, expressing his concern regarding the difficulty for young Equatoguinean students to obtain these documents from the Portuguese embassy.
The Equatoguinean diplomat asked for the collaboration of the Portuguese Minister for Education, Youth and Sports, Tiago Brandao, in order that his Government considered the need to grant these visas to honour diplomatic reciprocity.
This meeting took place within the X Meeting of CPLP Ministers for Youth and Sport, coinciding with the simultaneous celebration of the Youth and Sports Forum, together with the Biennial CPLP Young Creators Forum.
Finally, the ministers approved various decisions, including the organisation in 2018 of the next CPLP Sporting Games, in the Democratic Republic of SAPound o Tome and Principe.
