The Community of Portuguese Language Countries (CPLP), is willing to offer political and technical support to the Republic of Equatorial Guinea, through the sending of a senior delegation of specialists in various sectors of cooperation.
According to the Equatorial Guinea Permanent Representative before the CPLP, Tito Mba Ada, the decision was confirmed at the headquarters of the institution by the Executive Secretary of the community, the Portuguese, Francisco Ribeiro Telles.
The mission of 22 specialists, made up of representatives from all member countries of the CPLP, will arrive in Malabo in the second week of May, in order to see the initiatives deployed by the Government since joining the CPLP; to identify new actions to strengthen the integration of the country within the community; and to devise new projects and/or programmes of cooperation between the two parties.
Equatorial Guinea joined the CPLP at the Summit of Heads of State and Governments held in the city of Dili (East Timor) , in 2014.
