With just a few days to go before the celebration of 45 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations between Cuba and Equatorial Guinea, the Republic of Cuba Ambassador to our country, RaAl Isasi Herrera, spoke to reporters from www.guineaecuatorialpress.com to evaluate the time which has elapsed since relations were established.
I value my presence in Equatorial Guinea. At the end of 2017 we have been able to carry out our work as ambassador. With all the facilities provided for me by the Equatoguinean authorities, both governmental and political, and at the same time I have received a tradition of work that my previous colleagues carried out throughout these 45 years of diplomatic relations, which will be celebrated on 27th December.
I believe that the bilateral relations between Cuba and Equatorial Guinea are marked deeply by cherished ties of friendship and brotherhood. Because it must be taken into account that these relations came about through the warmth of the will of the two governments, and it must also be pointed out that they have lasted for a long time, despite the difficulties that the two countries have had, and the complex international situation that we are witnessing. To sum up, I think that these relations are going to endure, through effort and will, above all, of out governments and our peoples”, declared the ambassador.
To mark the anniversary, the Cuban Minister for Foreign Affairs, Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla, has sent his Equatoguinean counterpart, Agapito Mba Mokuy, a message of recognition and strengthening of the cooperation between the Republic of Cuba and the Republic of Equatorial Guinea.
