On the morning of 25th October, the Republic of Equatorial Guinea delegation, led by Leandro Bacale Ncogo, attended the opening of the eighth Forum on International Security and Asia and Pacific Security Cooperation in the International Conference Hall in Beijing. The forum has taken place every two years, since 2006.
This year’s theme is “Building a new type of security through equality, mutual trust, and win-win cooperation”. In the sessions officials from various countries and experts from international organisations will deal with issues such as the governance of global security, terrorist threats and countermeasures, cooperation in maritime security and peacekeeping, security in north east Asia, questions relating to the Middle East, and artificial intelligence.
After attending the opening of the forum, Leandro Bacale Ncogo held a meeting with his Chinese counterpart, Wei Fenghe, in which the two figures exchanged impressions on cooperation between the two countries. After that, they signed an agreement.
Another of the activities on the official agenda of the minister was a visit to the company Norinco, where he was received by its president, Li Wen Jie. The two spoke about cooperation between the company and the Republic of Equatorial Guinea.
