At the terminal at Malabo International Airport, members of the delegation were met by the Minister fro Youth and Sports, and president of the Equatoguinean Football Federation (FEGUIFUT), Andres Mbomio Nsem Abua, who was accompanied by the vice-president of the institution, Gustavo Ndong Edu Akuma.
The delegation, made up of Veron Monsengo Omba, director of development of associations in the African Football Confederation (CAF) and Constant Omari Selemani, president of the Democratic Republic of the Congo Football Federation, both executive members of FIFA, landed on the afternoon of 19th April at Malabo airport, at the invitation of the Equatoguinean Football Federation (FEGUIFUT).
In one of the waiting rooms at the terminal, the guests reported that they were in Equatorial Guinea to work on various projects outlined by the national football federation, such as the inspection of the construction site in the Continental Region, in Bata, for the new stadium for the development of grassroots football.
In their declarations to the media, in addition to praising the work being done by FEGUIFUT and the Ministry for Youth and Sports, the two visiting directors highlighted the importance of the project, and the seriousness with which the executives of the two departments implement their projects.
During their stay on Equatoguinean soil, the two guests, together with leaders from the nation’s football sector, will visit various locations to look at new projects to promote Equatoguinean football.
