On Monday 19th November, a delegation from the Ministry for Culture, Tourism and Craft Promotion, led by the director generals fro Culture and Craft Promotion, and Tourism Regulations and Statistics, travelled to the Province of Litoral to begin the national tour to identify places of interest for tourists with a high heritage and cultural value.
This tour is the start of the preparatory work for the reception of an important public-private delegation from the People’s Republic of China, within the framework of commitments acquired by the minister of the department, Rufino Ndong, during his recent visit to the Asian country; during which he managed to reach agreement on the commitment of his Chinese counterpart to bring tourists and potential investors to Equatorial Guinea.
Following a short meeting with the Governor of Litoral, the delegation began its work by travelling to the District of Kogo, making a stop at the Sendje rapids, where they were able to speak to the Government Delegate and visit the beautiful sight of the River Muni estuary and its islets.
The delegation will go on with its work during this week in the remaining provinces, with visits to Corisco, Mbini, Niefang, Evinayong, Akurenam, Nsork, Mongomo, Ebebiyin and Micomiseng.
