On Wednesday, June 10, the previous Secretary General of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, Santiago Nseng Mangue Mekemesa, delivered the complete documentation of the department to Ciriaco Obiang Ondo, as his substitute in the Secretariat. The act took place in the presence of the ministerial personnel, headed by the Vice Minister Salvador Sabas Bolekia.
After being named by means of Presidential Decree number 50/2015 on June 2, by the Head of State, H.E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, the new Secretary General of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, Ciriaco Obiang Ondo, took possession on June 10 in the presence of the Vice Minister Salvador Sabas Bolekia.
The act began with the words of Santiago Nseng Mangue, who congratulated the Head of State for the trust that he has had in him in appointing him to assume several responsibilities in this Ministry. The former Secretary General offered to continue contributing to the department’s projects and declared: “I am convinced that the new Secretary General will continue working for the achievement of the programs and the improvement of the department.”
For his part, Ciriaco Obiang Ondo expressed his thanks in the first place to the Head of State for the responsibility that has been granted to him, and asked for the involvement of all the personnel in order to work in close collaboration with the Secretariat and to continue with the improvement of the Ministerial functioning.
The Vice Minister, on the other hand, explained the reason for the changes in the department: “We are all aware of the changes that the ministerial departments are undergoing at the present time; they have the objective of improving even more their services. For this reason, we must all collaborate together to carry out the work that the President of the Republic has assigned us.”
